The Cricketers
Most English towns and villages had a cricket team. The story is about a rural cricket team, it's members and families, and the story of what happened to them before, during and after World War 1.
The idea is to show life amongst all classes at the time linked to the War in its different aspects and locations. Also showing the loss to the community illustrated by the ending of cricket in the village due to the death of so many men of age, and subsequent falling out of use of the village cricket pitch.
